Currently in 36 states, the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has killed millions of ash trees across the US, costing approximately $1B annually in tree removal, replacement and treatment.
EAB larvae burrow into the inner bark of ash trees, disrupting the tree's ability to transport water and nutrients, leading to the gradual decline and eventual death of the tree. Early detection of EAB infestations is challenging because the damage is initially hidden under the bark, and visible symptoms such as canopy thinning and increased woodpecker activity often appear only after the tree has been heavily infested.
From geofencing EAB to activated biochar.
We’re building a solution to geofence EAB, and upcycle trees destined for removal into biochar. Fill out this form to get updated when we launch.
